Hi! Welcome to the Mayfield Gardens blog. Let me introduce myself, my name is Dan Shallow and I work for Mayfield Gardens as a residential designer. I will be writing this blog so you'll be able to see our latest projects, landscaping tips and tricks, and the latest trends in landscaping.
I am excited to get this new part of Mayfield Gardens up and growing. Mayfield Gardens has done amazing work at places you may know (The Philadelphia Art Museum, Citizens Bank Park, Swarthmore College, Drexel University and Thomas Jefferson University to name a few) and now we're going to bring them to your backyard!
I am a local boy, having grown up in Havertown, and I now live in Exton with my wife and son. My wife and I met at Penn State where I earned my B.S. in landscape contracting. I may bleed blue & white, but I'm always thinking green.

I started my landscaping career15 years ago as a summer laborer, and my love for the outside grew from there. My experience with residential landscaping started with simple little landscapes with a few plants and a tree, to large and elaborate landscapes with hardscapes to match. Each are a labor of love that I am proud of.
